— LOOKING FOR A NEW ADVENTURE? —

WANT TO PUT YOUR TALENTS TO USE?

Love Hammond or history in general? At the Hammond Historical Museum you can expand your knowledge of Hammond, our region and the history of our community; develop public speaking skills; make new friends; and share the Museum’s treasures with the community and travelers from afar.  We invite people from all walks of life to join the team at our special museum.  Working with other volunteers, you can carve out your own niche at the museum in a way that suits your interests, talents and schedule!

ATTEND OUR MONTHLY MEETINGS:
You are encouraged to come to our meetings, which are held at 6:00 PM on the first Monday of each month.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:
Are you a high school student looking for volunteer opportunities?  When you volunteer, you’re supporting one of Hammond's oldest organizations and making a positive impact in your community. You can also maximize your talent, learn new skills, improve your resume, and meet new people – all while making a meaningful difference in our world.

BECOME A SCOTTISH FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER:
Whether you have Scottish blood or not, there are MANY ways that you could help with our annual Scottish festival. This has become an important source of revenue for the museum, so we strive to make it such a great event that people will want to return year after year.  In the months leading up to our special day, you could join the festival committee to help with the planning or be an awesome salesperson for our amazing raffle! For the actual festival we need grounds preparations done, parking attendants, admissions, assistants for the kids' obstacle course, petting zoo, photo booth, Highland games, and much more!
