Hello Museum Members and Interested Museum Folks!
We are very excited to have a great exhibit of Hammond People at Work, done by NCPR as part of the "North Country at Work" project.. The 24 photos that they enlarged into 18 x 24 size are very nicely displayed with descriptions and a bar code so you can listen on your smart phone to the related work story. On the internet, you can go to http://www.northcountryatwork.org/browse/?pDate=1860%2C2010&search=hammond%2C%20ny&pPage=1 We are into the last few weeks before the Scottish Festival and events leading up to it. Our committees have been working very hard to make a great success of these events, especially the Scottish Festival on July 28th. Spread the word! Buy a T-shirt! Wear a kilt or 1800's outfit, if you like! Our new website is up and running, thanks to Erica Demick Garllock. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, here's the website with all the Scottish events as well as museum information, history, photos, gift shop, memberships, etc: https://www.hammondmuseum.com/ Attached, please find the list of events and the cedar blanket chest raffle tickets that are 1 for $1 or 6 for $5 that you can print. If you are a distance away and trust us to write your name on the tickets, you may do that on our website. Please note that we are doing the raffle at the end of the day of the Scottish Festival on July 28th and NOT at the annual fiddlers' fling in September. Don't forget the Farmers' Market runs rain or shine, every Wed., now through Sept 19th. It WILL be open next Wed., on the 4th of July and the museum will open after the parade in Morristown (about 11:30). If you have difficulty downloading or printing these attachments, please send back a reply that you would like these mailed via US postal service. We hope to see many of you visit to see our new exhibit and we hope you will participate in our upcoming Scottish events. See you soon!
